My name is Michael Archibong Inyang, I was born on the plane of the boarding line of the Equator where you can see daylight and night in between the two at the same time. But my Birth certificate says that I am from Nigeria from a village called Ikot ntan Nsit Ibom local govt. area, when I was a child I grew up learning to do things on my own.
My favorite traditional Nigerian side is is fufu and melon soup ( Pumpkin seed). First, catch a goat or a chicken, cut half of the goats throat then burn it until the hair is gone. Then, wash it with fresh water until it is clean, then, I will cut it up and boil until done.
As the meat is boiling, grind the pumpkin seeds, gather two bags of spinach, two bags of Okra, and fresh fish. Cut all ingredients and set aside. Since the okra is getting done cut up the fish and goat meat to a small size, then cut up some onions fry it with palm oil then add at least a teaspoon of maggi, and a little sprinkle of accent, then open two cans of geisha also pour a little of water with the meat an okra, let it boil for at least 10 to 15 min. then everything.
Last but not the least, Boil water in a frying pan until it is real hot then get the pounded yam fufu and sprinkle it in the water an stir it until the fufu gets like a dough or thick, but make sure that there is No seed. And that is how I make fufu and melon soup. Wash your hands until it is clean, then you get the fufu with your hands, roll it up like a dough and dip it into the soup and swallow.
